On our way up to the Cape, we made a quick stop in Connecticut. While there we took some time to visit the Submarine Force Library & Museum on the Thames River in Groton, CT.
The museum details the fascinating history of the “Silent Service” and is definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.
We also took in the sites of beautiful Mystic, CT.
Made a drive by but didn’t stop for a slice. We also ran out of time to make the drive to Noank, CT (home of the mighty Fitch Falcons and alma mater of my brother from another mother “Doof”).

An update on our schedule. We will leave on Friday June 8th for a two day stay in the Hill Country. We will then
leave from there to head to our home in Durango. We will be in Durango until around October 10th. On August 6th we will be in Gunnison Co from August 6th til August 13 when we will go back to Durango. Should you be near that part of the country at that time, we would love to see you. We will be staying at Mesa Campground. Or if you are near Durango, CO give me a call. Have a safe , fun Summer….be glad you are not in TEXAS it is already so HOT.
Sounds like a fun summer, Sue. We are in Cape Cod now and leaving here on the 13th. Then off to Boston for a week, then Vermont for a month. The finger lakes of NY for a month, then the Niagara Falls area for a month. That should take us to early September. Then work our way south for the winter. Should be back in Texas in the February/March months. After that, who knows. But we do hope to see you either in TX or CO one of these times. Take care.
Thanks for resending the link! Messed up that you were in CT and Boston a week before us, but as was once said…Oh well, too damn.
Vic and Paula would have freaked out to see your RV pulling in their driveway…next time.
