While we were near Cincinnati, or Cincy as the locals refer to it, we went for a short walk downtown on Labor Day. If you’re interested we use an app called GPSmyCity for walking tours such as these.

Many of the museums are closed due to Covid-19 so this was a tour of outdoor sites.

The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge spans the Ohio River between Cincy, OH and Covington, KY. We walked across and back again on the pedestrian walkway.

The National Steamboat Monument is a 30-foot replica of the paddle wheel of the steamboat American Queen.

The home of the Cincinnati Reds, Great American Ballpark, has some neat statues out front. Below is a bronze statue of a Pete Rose headfirst slide.

Lastly, Fountain Square. Fountain Square has been the symbolic center of Cincy since 1871. Today the square has many events during the week as well as seasonal events, like the largest Octoberfest outside of Germany.
