Speak Softly and Drive a Big RV

Our title borrows from the famous quote by Teddy Roosevelt, “Speak softly, and carry a big stick”. Roosevelt fell in love with the Little Missouri River Valley of North Dakota and visited often to refresh his soul. While we were in North Dakota to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Scott found some time to play the scenic Bully Pulpit Golf Course and refresh his soul.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

TRNP was really beautiful without the crowds of many of the more popular parks. The park is known for its painted canyons and rocks that appear different depending on the light of day.

Medora Musical

The Medora Musical is a musical revue that’s produced each summer at the open-air Burning Hills Amphitheater in the town of Medora. Though quite folksy for our taste, we still had a good time and enjoyed the views.

Next stop is Montana.

    1. Beautiful! Really enjoyed the scenes. The Bison was awesome. So glad Scott was able to play a round of golf. Take care, love you Glynda and Casper.

  1. Finally getting caught up on your travels for the last few months. Looks amazing and I’m glad you got to spend time with your dad. I know Mike texted, but thank you again for the beautiful flowers. They lasted for almost 3 weeks. Still trying to navigate in this new world and many days are just damn hard. We are fully immersed in the college application process and the next few months will be interesting.

    1. I’m glad you liked the flowers. I hope they brought you some comfort to know we were thinking of you. Wish I could offer some words that would make it better, but I don’t have any. Unfortunately, some days can just be overwhelmingly hard and come out of no where. I’m here to talk if you need it.
Ava is such a great kid and so bright. This is such a fun and scary time for her. I’m excited to hear where she chooses. Good luck.

  2. More beautiful photos. Scott really gets some great photos when he goes on the edge. I could never do that as I do not like heights. You are so fortunate to still be traveling and it is great that you got to share some time and travel with your dad. I sure miss our motorhome. It is hard to travel and stay in a hotel with our pup…so much easier when we had the MH. Keep sending the beautiful photos…we get to travel and see the beauty with your photos. Safe travels. Where will you be for the winter?

    1. Hi Sue. Glad you like the pics. Scott is getting more daring for his photos, much to my dismay. Do you think you’ll get another MH someday? From mid-December to mid-March we will be in Castroville, just outside of San Antonio. Stay safe.
